David established {Suite} in 2007 in Wellington after having lived in the Netherlands for nearly five years. In 2020, {Suite} became the first gallery in 25 years to establish a gallery in both Auckland and Wellington. David permanently relocated to Auckland in 2024 to concentrate on one gallery space in Ponsonby.
Prior to establishing {Suite}, David worked in the legal profession in Wellington and Amsterdam. He is a regular arts contributor on radio and TV, and speaker at conferences and events.
