Ans Westra
Located upstairs at 241 Cuba Street, Te Aro, Wellington is the {Suite} living Westra museum dedicated to celebrating the artist's lifetime of work and images. Visitors may browse through articles dating back to 1960 and view over 200 books featuring Ans' images. Exhibitions change regularly alongside displays of the artist's ephemera. A permanent display of Ans’s work is also always on view upstairs at {Suite} Ponsonby.
The range of work for sale consists of silver gelatin photographs, hand printed by Ans in her darkroom and archival pigment prints which have been produced following a project from 2014 – 2017 between {Suite} and the National Library of New Zealand to digitise Ans’ negative archive and make her images easier to access. This archive can now be found on the National Library's website. The archival pigment prints of black and white and colour images are produced in an edition of 25 and can be purchased framed or unframed. These images are all stamped on the reverse.
