Ans’ huge collection of negatives is stored safely at the National Library of New Zealand in Wellington. However, there is also  a lifetime of important and valuable additional archival material which also requires cataloguing and preservation.

Following her passing in 2023, Ans’ work and print archive has been moved to a large vault in a historical building in Central Wellington, accessible for both art and educational purposes. On display is a library of publications including Ans’ images, her cameras, proof sheets, material and paraphernalia related to her art practice and life.

We will be offering a number of public tours of the Vault while the World of Wearable Arts is on in Wellington in 2026, coinciding with an exhibition of Ans’ work in the old National Bank building at 49 Courteney Place, Wellington  (above the Vault).  The tour is free with an opportunity to provide a donation while there.  To register for a tour please use this form.
