This shot was taken in Boyce's loft building above the 28th Street flower market, Manhattan, in 1993. Getting into Louise Nevelson drag (with Paul HO) to go uptown to protest at Pace Gallery, 57th Street, at the scandalous near-absence of women artists and artists of color, in the gallery’s stable. Pace, at the time, represents a single female artist – Nevelson - and she’s dead.
