Ans Westra was a Dutch-born New Zealand photographer, well known for her depictions of life in Aotearoa New Zealand in the 20^th century. 

In later life, Westra teamed up with {Suite} Director David Alsop​. The pair first met when David was living in the Netherlands in 2006 and went to an exhibition of her work.

The following year Ans attended an exhibition opening at the newly established {Suite} Gallery, and they began a business relationship and friendship that lasted until her death. Now, {Suite} works with the Ans Westra Estate to manage Ans’  image archive, print sales and copyright.
