Biography
Jeremy Piert is a consummate painter and draughtsman based in Adelaide, South Australia.
His paintings, rendered in fluid brushwork, imagine twilight dreamscapes that sequester human forms and wildlife within illusory domains. Surrounded by lush, atmospheric and ethereal scenery, the inhabitants of Piert’s compositions invite intrigue and empathy while retaining an aura of otherworldliness.
As a result, the viewer is maintained at a distance, left to contemplate rather than join in their private worlds and clandestine narratives
